A future of dignity and self-determination.

Sehr is a grassroots organisation working with the Sahariya Adivasis of Central India, supporting the community in their fight against social oppression and marginalisation.

Meet the Sahariyas

An Adivasi community rooted in the forested landscapes of Central India, the Sahariya carry generations of ecological knowledge, cultural memory, and a profound relationship with Jal, Jungle, Jameen.

Our theory of change

From intergenerational crises to intergenerational change.

The Sahariya’s deep relationship with forest and land has long sustained their livelihoods, knowledge, and identity. Yet social prejudice, administrative failure, and economic exploitation have systematically pushed the community to the margins.

The crises facing the Sahariya are deeply entrenched, passed from one generation to the next. We’ve visualised them in our theory of change—an interactive walkthrough of the Sahariya reality today, the change we're working towards, and how your support can help make it all possible.
