Forest Rights

Sahab Singh works with Sahariya communities on forest rights, combining village awareness, evidence collection and legal follow-up with wider mobilisation. He helps people document violations, engage Gram Sabhas and public departments, and connect local learning with state-level Adivasi networks.

When forest officials destroyed the huts of fifteen villagers, he responded immediately, prepared a detailed account and travelled to Bhopal with a representation to the tribal welfare department. Sharing the case with the state network helped build solidarity and a wider campaign.

While continuing his Class 12 studies, Sahab has worked with Ekta Parishad, ActionAid and Sehr. His commitment to social work and legal awareness is grounded in a desire to help communities understand their rights and speak with greater collective strength.
