Aishwarya Mohanty

Programme Director

Samavesh

Aishwarya leads Samavesh, bringing research, litigation and advocacy together around the concerns of Sahariya communities. She designs research, supports fundraising and people management, and works with programme teams to turn field evidence into strategies for sustainable socio-legal change.

Her grounding spans criminal justice, human rights, gender justice and indigenous rights. After studying law at NLUOdisha, she completed a master’s in Criminal Justice Policy at the London School of Economics as a Narotam Sekhsaria Foundation Scholar.

Aishwarya brings intellectual curiosity and close attention to evidence into her work with colleagues. Away from work, she is often reading or taking long walks with her dog—spaces that sustain her interest in people, institutions and the questions beneath them.
